Friends of JCPL
The Friends of Johnson County Public Library work to provide funding for programs and advocating support for the community's
most valuable asset – their Library.

You Can Help the Friends
Since 1979, the Friends of the Johnson County Public Library have raised funds to support Library programs and services. In 2016, the Johnson County Public Library Foundation was established in partnership with the Friends, expanding community support to help ensure the Library continues to inspire learning, discovery, and connection for generations to come.
If you are passionate about making your Johnson County Public Library an invaluable resource to the community, then sign up to volunteer with the Friends of JCPL!
There are several ways to become a Friend:
-
-
help out at an upcoming Friends of JCPL book sales (2-10 hours per year)
-
stock one of the Little Free Libraries throughout the county (2-3 hours per month)
-
apply to serve on the Friends Book Sale Committee (30-40 hours per year commitment)
-
The Friends work to recycle donated materials, provide extra resources, boost support for Library programming, and advocate for JCPL. The funds raised by contributions and from the Friends of JCPL Book Sales support Library programs and events.

Link your Kroger Plus card to the Friends of JCPL in Kroger Community Rewards in your Plus Card account. The rewards translate into CASH to support the Friends. You’ll still receive your Kroger discounts and points. When linking your card, type “Friends of Johnson County Public Library CY705” in the search box. If you do not have Kroger Plus Card, they are available at the service desk in-store.
With this program, the Friends receive over $1,000 annually from local Kroger shoppers to support JCPL! ❤️
